About Heather
Heather Westerfield trained in law after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Kentucky in 2006 and earning her J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 2009. Those formative years included hands-on experience in clinical settings and government work. In 2008 she served as a student lawyer at her law school's clinical office, and in 2009 she worked as a legal intern in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. The combination of classroom work and early public-sector exposure helped shape the practical side of her legal education.
Her early career moved quickly through a variety of litigation-support roles. Before law school she held clerk positions in Ohio County in 2002 and 2003. After graduation she accumulated experience as a litigation assistant and project assistant at several firms in 2010, including Nexsen Pruet and Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman. That year also included work as a legal assistant for a private practitioner. In 2011 she worked temporarily as a paralegal for Motely Rice and spent time as an associate at Watson Law Group. The pattern that emerges is steady work in roles that support courtroom and trial preparation activities.
In 2012 and 2013 Westerfield continued to occupy positions that bridged legal assistance and paralegal responsibilities. She served in associate and support paralegal roles at McGrath Law Office, worked as a legal assistant at Barrow Law Office, and held paralegal positions at both Cordray Law Office and the Law Offices of Gregory Sheehan. Those years reinforced practical skills: file management, discovery preparation, and coordination with litigation teams. The variety of settings — from solo practitioners to larger defense and plaintiff firms — gave her exposure to different approaches to case work.
By 2014 she was listed as a lawyer at George Sink P.A. Injury Lawyers. That role followed more than a decade of experience in paralegal, assistant, and associate positions across private firms and a government legal office. Her work history shows repeated involvement in litigation support and trial preparation, and it reflects a transition from supporting roles into a practicing attorney role.
Westerfield is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and has maintained ties to firms that handle civil litigation and personal injury matters. She currently practices at George Sink P.A. Injury Lawyers, where her work centers on personal injury representation and related litigation activities.
