About Heather S.

Heather S. Mayer built her legal foundation at the University of California, Davis, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communications. She continued her studies at Santa Clara University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor. While in law school she completed a Public Interest and Social Justice Certificate, a program that informed her early work and perspective on access to legal services.

After law school Mayer established herself in California's legal community. She is authorized as a Notary Public by the California Secretary of State and maintains active membership in the Sacramento County Bar Association. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the professional law fraternity, which provided additional professional connections while she was developing her practice.

Mayer’s day-to-day work blends courtroom preparation, client counseling and written advocacy. She has experience preparing legal filings and advising clients on procedural matters in state courts. Her background in political science and communications informs how she frames legal issues for clients and for opposing counsel. She approaches cases with an emphasis on clear explanation and steady management of expectations.

At Mayer & Young, PC she practices alongside colleagues who handle a range of matters for individuals and businesses. Her role at the firm includes client intake, case strategy, drafting pleadings and coordinating with experts when necessary. She engages in settlement discussions as well as litigation when cases proceed to trial or hearing.

Outside of casework Mayer stays connected to the local bar and professional networks. Her continued membership in Sacramento County Bar Association keeps her involved in local legal developments and programs. Participation in Phi Alpha Delta has included both alumni contact and occasional events that support legal education and mentorship.

Mayer resides and practices in California. She represents clients through the work she does at Mayer & Young, PC. Her current practice centers on client representation in California through her work at Mayer & Young, PC.
