About Heather
Heather Hansen grew up studying language and law. She earned a B.S. in English from Black Hills State University in 2003 and completed her J.D. at the University of New Mexico in 2011. Those years framed a courtroom sensibility and an interest in litigation that would shape her career.
She began practice immediately after law school, joining Keleher & McLeod, PA as an associate in 2011. That early period gave her exposure to civil litigation and courtroom procedure. In 2013 she moved to Parnall Law Office, where she continued to develop trial experience and took on more responsibility handling client matters in state courts.
In 2017 Hansen co-founded Blazejewski & Hansen, LLC. As a founding partner she helped build a small-firm practice that handles courtroom work at both trial and appellate levels. She is admitted to practice in New Mexico and holds federal admissions, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. Those admissions allow her to pursue matters beyond state court when clients’ cases take that path.
Hansen maintains memberships in several professional groups that align with trial work. She is a member of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the Albuquerque Bar Association, and she belongs to the American Association for Justice. She also participates in the New Mexico Motorcycle Rights Organization, reflecting involvement in advocacy and community issues tied to motorcyclists’ legal concerns. Her professional affiliations keep her connected to evolving litigation practices and trial strategies used by plaintiff-side lawyers.
She divides her time between her firm and an office at Roadrunner Law Office. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparation and direct in court. She has handled both state-level trials and federal filings, and she brings that courtroom experience to cases that require federal appellate or district-court attention. Her work combines trial practice and federal litigation.
Hansen’s current practice concentrates on trial litigation in New Mexico state courts and federal courts, including matters heard by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
