About Heain

Heain Lee earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2010. He completed law school at a time when immigration policy and federal litigation were drawing renewed public attention. The degree marks the start of a legal career centered in Maryland.

Soon after graduation he began practicing in Maryland. He is admitted to the Maryland bar and has built his career inside that jurisdiction. His work has kept him close to the state’s courts and administrative processes. He developed a working knowledge of the local court culture and administrative procedures that shape many clients’ cases.

Lee joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2019 and remains a member. That membership places him in a professional network that offers specialized training, policy updates, and peer review. It is one indicator of the areas of law he engages with and of his interest in developments at the federal and local level that affect immigrants and immigration practitioners.

His office is BLV Law, PLLC. At that firm he advises and represents clients on legal matters that route through federal agencies and state systems. He has handled intake, case preparation, and client counseling as part of practice at the firm. Colleagues describe him as methodical in casework and direct in client communication.

Clients encounter him on matters that involve administrative filings, legal paperwork, and hearings. He pays attention to deadlines and the procedural steps that can affect outcomes. He also works with clients to set realistic expectations about timing and next steps, and he is accustomed to explaining complex legal processes in everyday language.

Outside the office he follows legal developments that matter to his practice. He reads agency guidance, attends professional events tied to immigration law, and keeps current on court decisions that could affect cases in Maryland. He currently practices at BLV Law, PLLC, where he handles immigration-related matters.
