About Hasan

Hasan Abdullah earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007. He completed his legal studies after several years of undergraduate and prelaw preparation, and emerged into practice during a period of shifting immigration and regulatory landscapes. He has since built a career centered on federal immigration and visa matters and the management of a regional practice.

Early in his career he served as a supervising lawyer at Shah Peerally Law Group in 2008. In that role he oversaw case preparation and mentored junior lawyers and support staff. He handled case filings, client interviews and procedural work that often required coordination with government agencies. That supervisory work helped him develop processes for case management and client communication.

In 2015 he moved into firm leadership as President and Managing Lawyer of American Visa Law Group. His responsibilities expanded to include firm administration as well as continuing client representation. He directed case strategy, managed outside counsel relationships, and shaped the office workflow. The position required balancing courtroom and administrative demands while maintaining service continuity for clients.

Abdullah is licensed to practice in Illinois. Over the years he has advised individuals and businesses on applications, petitions and responses to government requests. He has represented clients before immigration authorities and assisted employers with employment-based visa matters. His background includes work on family-sponsored petitions, employment-based filings, and naturalization applications.

He maintains current membership in professional organizations relevant to his work and participates in local legal communities. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and pragmatic in client counseling. He has focused on building a practice that pairs direct client contact with systems for tracking deadlines and managing documentation.

Today he practices from offices of American Visa Law Group. His day-to-day work combines managing the firm’s operations with advising clients on immigration, visa and related regulatory matters. He continues to represent individuals and businesses on immigration and visa issues at American Visa Law Group.
