About Harold Lewis
Harold Lewis Burstyn is a retired patent attorney residing in Madison, Wisconsin. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1988 and the Florida Bar in 1988. He is also a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Mr. Burstyn earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 1987. During his time there, he served as Associate Articles Editor for the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal. Professionally, he has held positions as Of Counsel at Furgang & Adwar in New York, NY, and as an Adjunct Professor at the L.C.
Smith College of Engineering & Computer Science at Syracuse University. In his practice, Mr. Burstyn has been involved in patent appeals, litigation, and prosecution. He has represented clients in various technical fields, including audio and video circuitry, computer hardware and software, database systems, electronic commerce, and telecommunications.
He has also contributed to the academic community by teaching law to engineering and computer science students at Syracuse University. Mr. Burstyn is currently retired and resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
