About Harlan
Harlan York is an immigration attorney based in Newark, New Jersey. He earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law in 1994 and his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the State University of New York at Albany in 1991. He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1995 and the Connecticut State Bar in 1997.
He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the founder of Harlan York and Associates, a law firm specializing in immigration law.
The firm handles cases such as deportation defense, federal appeals, visa petitions, permanent residence applications, citizenship, employment and family-based immigration, deferred action, and applications for victims of violence. He has lectured at Columbia, Rutgers, and New York Law Schools, and at events sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation and other organizations. He has appeared on CBS This Morning and Primer Impacto on Univision, both televised nationally, as well as Telemundo, NBC, Fox News, Bloomberg Radio, and PBS.
He is the author of "Three Degrees of Law" and has contributed editorials to The Hill, NJ.com, Law360.com, and other media. He is fluent in Spanish.
