About Hannah K.

Hannah K. Ayers earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Memphis before turning to law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Her undergraduate training sharpened her attention to clear, concise writing. Law school added another dimension: research, statutory analysis and courtroom procedure. The combination of those skills shaped how she approaches legal problems.

After law school, Ayers sought licensure in two states. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Florida. Those dual admissions allow her to serve clients across state lines and to handle matters that touch both jurisdictions. She holds membership in the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, and she remains active in those professional circles.

Colleagues note that Ayers brings a reporter’s instinct to legal work. She tends to frame issues plainly and to strip away jargon. That helps when drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses and explaining options to clients. Her background in journalism also informs how she investigates facts and evaluates documentary evidence. She approaches each file by asking straightforward questions and then building a record that answers them.

Ayers has balanced courtroom preparation with written advocacy. She has experience researching complex legal questions and producing memoranda intended to guide litigation strategy and client decisions. She also works on the practical side of client communication, translating case law and procedure into terms that clients can use when making choices about their matters.

Outside case work, Ayers engages with the bar associations where she holds membership. Participation in local bar activities keeps her current on rules, ethics opinions and developments in state practice. It also provides informal forums for discussing trends in case law and procedure with other lawyers in the region.

Her professional path reflects an overlap of journalism and law: careful fact-gathering, focused writing, and attention to process. Those elements recur across the matters she handles and in how she prepares for hearings or filings. She currently practices law in Tennessee and Florida.
