About Hannah Elizabeth
Hannah Elizabeth Roberts graduated from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2020 after earning a Bachelor of Science in social work from Eastern Michigan University in 2016. Her academic path moved from social welfare and community systems into the study of law. That combination shapes how she approaches cases and clients.
She began practicing in Michigan soon after law school. In 2021 she joined Kirsch Daskas Law Group as an associate lawyer. Her docket there has included trial preparation, motion practice and case management in criminal matters. She has also been involved in appellate filings through memberships that connect trial work to appeals.
Roberts maintains memberships across a range of professional organizations. She belongs to the State Bar of Michigan and participates in the bar’s criminal law section. She is a member of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Michigan and the Young Lawyers Section, and she holds memberships with the Oakland County Bar Association, the State Appellate Defender Office, Wayne County Indigent Defense Counsel and the Solo and Small Firm Section. Those affiliations give her regular exposure to local court procedures, appellate developments and indigent defense practice.
Her background in social work informs client interactions. Colleagues describe her as attentive to client needs and thorough in developing mitigation and factual narratives. In practice she spends time preparing witnesses, organizing discovery and drafting pleadings that address both legal issues and the underlying personal circumstances of clients.
Roberts handles both bench and jury matters and has participated in hearings at various stages of criminal proceedings. She works on pretrial motions, sentencing advocacy and post-conviction matters when appropriate. Her appellate activity stems from her connections with the State Appellate Defender Office and her own interest in preserving and advancing legal arguments beyond the trial court.
Outside courtrooms she attends continuing legal education and local bar events. Membership in county and statewide organizations keeps her current on changes in statutes, case law and courtroom practice. That ongoing involvement also places her in regular dialogue with prosecutors, public defenders and private counsel across Michigan.
She practices law in Michigan and is an associate at Kirsch Daskas Law Group. Her current practice centers on criminal defense work, including trial and appellate representation in state courts.
