Born and raised in La Plata, Mr. Matin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland in 1997.
He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2000. After being admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2000, Mr. Matin served as a Judicial Law Clerk in Charles County from 2000 to 2001. He then worked as an Assistant State's Attorney for Charles County from 2001 to 2007, gaining extensive trial experience. In 2007, he founded his own firm, The Law Office of Hammad S.
Matin, P.A., in La Plata. The firm handles a range of cases, including DUI/DWI, traffic violations, drug crimes. Other felony and misdemeanor offenses. Mr. Matin is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association and has served on the Character Committee since 2008.
