About Gregory

Gregory Wong built a career out of steady progression through some of the country’s larger labor and employment practices before starting his own firm and later taking a leadership role at a regional office. He read English at Stanford and went on to study law at the University of California, Berkeley. Those academic years set the stage for a practice shaped by large-firm training and small-firm responsibility.

He entered private practice as an associate at Littler Mendelson P.C. in 1999. That first job placed him squarely in a practice group that handles workplace law. He moved into a shareholder role in 2004 at Greenberg Traurig, LLP where his title expressly referenced labor and employment. In 2010 he returned to Littler Mendelson as a shareholder. Each move carried greater client responsibility and broader managerial duties.

In 2014 he founded Adempt Employment Law, APC. The decision to open a boutique reflected a shift in how he wanted to deliver services. The boutique allowed him to control case handling and staffing. It also gave him a platform to develop litigation strategies and counseling models on a smaller scale.

By 2019 he was serving as Managing Lawyer at Barkhordarian Law Office, PLC. That role added office and practice management to his list of daily tasks. He oversees case development and works on staffing and administrative decisions. His background in larger firms informs how he organizes teams and assigns work.

Across these positions his practice has centered on labor and employment issues. He has handled matters that require both litigation and advisory work. His resume shows a mix of shareholder-level responsibility and hands-on client counseling. Those experiences have exposed him to complex employment disputes, policy drafting, and workplace compliance questions.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers practical solutions and clear counsel. He has navigated the differing demands of large firm structures and a smaller practice model. That range of settings gives him perspective when advising clients about risk, litigation strategy, and internal policy.

He is admitted to practice in California and has spent his career working in employment law. He continues to practice at Barkhordarian Law Office, PLC, where he handles labor and employment matters.
