About Gregory
Gregory Thomlison earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2008. He practices in New Jersey and has built a career centered on family law practice and bar association work. His legal education at Rutgers laid the groundwork for immediate involvement in the state bar and the local legal community.
Early in his career Thomlison joined the New Jersey State Bar Association in 2008 and became a member of the Ocean County Bar Association in 2009. Those memberships were the start of a steady pattern of civic and professional engagement. He has been active in local and regional family law groups, including membership in the Monmouth-Ocean Family Law Inn of Court and participation in the Statewide Family Law Chairs ESP Committee beginning in 2018.
Thomlison took on leadership roles in the Ocean County Bar Association’s family law bar, serving as chair of the Family Law Committee beginning in 2018. In that post he organized committee meetings and programming and worked with other local practitioners to address procedural and practice concerns that affect family law cases in the county. His work in these roles extended beyond program planning and into coordination among attorneys who handle contested matters, custodial disputes and ancillary relief issues.
His involvement with ethics oversight is notable. He served as a member of the District IIIA Ethics Committee in 2016 and later held membership on District IX Ethics Committee in 2021. Those appointments placed him in a position to review matters related to professional responsibility and to contribute to discussions about attorney conduct at the district level. The combination of committee work and ethics service has been a consistent thread through his professional life.
Thomlison practices at Abatemarco Thomlison & Frantz, LLC. There he represents individuals in family law matters and works alongside other lawyers on cases that range from contested divorces to child custody and support questions. He is active in the Ocean County bar and continues to participate in statewide family law committees and Inns of Court that bring practitioners together to discuss practice issues and emerging developments in family law.
He remains based in New Jersey where his current practice concentrates on family law matters at Abatemarco Thomlison & Frantz, LLC.
