About Gregory T
Gregory T Taylor began his academic path at Murray State University, where he earned a B.A. in 1996 with studies in radio and television, business and German. He continued at the University of Kentucky College of Law and received his J.D. in 2000. Those years set the stage for a career centered in southern Kentucky and the surrounding region.
After law school Taylor became active in the local legal and civic communities. Early in the 2000s he served as president of the Calloway County Bar Association from 2004 to 2005. He also spent five years on the board of the United Way of Murray-Calloway County, from 2004 to 2009. Those positions placed him in regular contact with both private practitioners and local nonprofit leaders.
In 2006 he launched his own practice, founding Greg Taylor & Associates, PLLC. He has worked as a solo practitioner and firm owner ever since. He is admitted to practice in both Kentucky and Tennessee, and he has built a practice that operates across those state lines.
Taylor’s civic involvement extended beyond professional organizations. He served on the Murray City Council from 2011 until 2016. Council service exposed him to municipal budgets, local ordinances and the daily mechanics of city governance. That experience informs how he advises clients who have matters that touch on local government or community institutions.
Colleagues describe Taylor as steady and practical. He has balanced courtroom work, transactional matters and client counseling while running a small practice. Operating a solo firm has required him to handle many aspects of client service and case management personally. That work has kept him closely tied to the needs of individuals, small businesses and community organizations in his area.
Taylor’s background in communication and business — his undergraduate combination of radio/TV and business — has influenced how he approaches client relations. He emphasizes clear explanations and direct answers. Over time his practice has remained local in scope but cross-border in reach because of his licenses in both Kentucky and Tennessee.
He continues to manage Greg Taylor & Associates, PLLC and to serve clients in the region. His current practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses in matters across Kentucky and Tennessee.
