About Gregory Marc
Gregory Marc Sobo earned his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in 1994 and went on to complete his Juris Doctor at Syracuse University College of Law in 2000. He pursued a traditional path through undergraduate study to law school, finishing his formal legal education at Syracuse at the turn of the century. Those academic years laid the groundwork for a practice anchored in New York state law.
Soon after law school, he put that education into practice by founding his own firm. In 2000 he established Sobo & Sobo, taking on the role of CEO and founder. He has led the firm since its inception and has overseen its operations and growth over more than two decades. Licensed to practice in New York, he has maintained a steady presence in the state’s legal community while managing the administrative and professional responsibilities that come with running a law firm.
At the firm he combines casework with leadership duties. That mix means he spends time both in the office managing other lawyers and in the courtroom or at the negotiating table when client matters require it. He supervises litigation strategy, consults directly with clients, and handles filings and court appearances as needed. The dual role of manager and practicing attorney shapes the daily rhythm of his work. Colleagues and clients see him as an experienced operator who understands how to coordinate legal and business priorities.
Over the years his practice has been rooted in the firm he founded. He continues to maintain an active role in legal matters while overseeing firm administration. His career path reflects a direct transition from law school graduate to firm founder and leader, sustained by regular practice in New York. He continues to practice law in New York through Sobo & Sobo, LLP.
