About Gregory M.
Gregory M. McCauley earned his J.D. from Widener University in 1981 after completing a B.S. in Management and Marketing at Saint Joseph's University in 1979. He moved into the federal courthouse early in his career, clerking in 1983 for the Honorable James McGirr Kelly of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Those early years gave him firsthand exposure to litigation and courtroom procedure.
He joined Blank Rome LLP in 1985 and worked there as an associate before setting out on his own. In 1987 he established McCauley Law Offices. The following year he expanded both his legal practice and his business interests. In 1988 he ran multi-unit Wendy’s franchises through McCauley Enterprises, Inc. and Shore-Wen, Inc., while also practicing under the McCauley Law Office PC name and handling real estate and commercial litigation matters.
Over the course of his career McCauley has accepted admission to several courts and jurisdictions. He is admitted in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, the 3rd Circuit and the 2nd Circuit, and he is authorized to practice before the United States Tax Court. He has added a credential related to tax work, earning a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist designation from the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers.
McCauley has maintained professional bar memberships alongside his practice. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 1983 and the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 1984. He held membership in the New Jersey Bar Association from 1984 until 1997, and he was listed with the New York State Bar Association from 1991 until 2005. Those affiliations track against a career that mixes litigation, transactional work and client-side business management.
