About Gregory Calliste
Gregory Calliste Jr. built his legal foundation in New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Business Systems & Management from the State University of New York at Old Westbury in 1998. He then attended New York Law School and received his J.D. in 2003. Those years established a base in both business concepts and legal training that has shaped the arc of his career.
Early in his career he worked as a law student associate at Queller, Fisher, Dienst, Serrins, Washor & Kool, LLP in New York in 2000. After completing law school he joined The Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington in 2004 as a lawyer. Those positions placed him in offices where courtroom practice and client representation were daily parts of the job. Over time he developed experience handling matters that required appearances in state and federal forums.
In 2016 he became a partner at Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC. That promotion marked a shift from junior and mid-level attorney roles into firm leadership. As partner he has continued to represent clients in proceedings across multiple jurisdictions and to take on broader responsibilities at the firm. His career path shows steady advancement through practical courtroom roles and firm-level duties.
Calliste is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. His federal admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He maintains membership in both the State Bar of New York and the New Jersey State Bar. Those admissions give him the credentialing to pursue matters in both state and federal trial courts and at the appellate level when cases progress beyond trial.
Today he practices at Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC. He brings the combination of his undergraduate business background and more than two decades in law to his day-to-day work. He continues to handle matters that require litigation and courtroom representation in state and federal courts, and he remains active in the bars of New York and New Jersey.
