About Gregory

Gregory Byrnes earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, completing his J.D. in 2018. While at Brooklyn he also completed a real estate certification that shaped much of his early practice interests. His academic work combined traditional doctrinal study with coursework aimed at commercial and transactional real estate.

He began practicing in 2019 and took on a mix of roles that year. He worked as an associate at Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., a firm known for real estate matters, and concurrently established The Byrnes Law Office where he served as principal. Those dual roles gave him exposure to both firm-based practice and the responsibilities of running a small office.

In 2020 he moved into a leadership role outside traditional law firm walls when he became CEO of ZRE Properties. The position placed him on the business side of real estate operations and required him to balance legal risk with commercial objectives. After a year there he returned to private practice partnerships and in 2021 joined Davis & Byrnes as a partner. That post involved a heavier docket and more complex client management than his earlier solo practice.

By 2022 he shifted back toward litigation and was named Lead Litigation Counsel at Anderson Law. In that role he supervised litigation strategy on matters that intersected with property disputes and transactional fallout. The work expanded his courtroom and case-management responsibilities and added a layer of supervisory experience to his resume.

Byrnes is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and retains the real estate certification he earned at Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. Those memberships have anchored his professional development and kept him connected to changes in state-level practice standards and procedural rules.

His career has alternated between practicing law and managing business enterprises. He has worn the titles of associate, principal, partner, CEO and lead counsel in the span of a few years. That variety has shaped the way he approaches disputes and transactions: practical, procedural and attentive to the commercial context.

He maintains an office at The Byrnes Law Office and handles matters arising in New York and New Jersey, primarily involving real estate, transactional issues and related litigation.
