About Greg L.
Greg L. Gambill earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2005. He left law school at a time when health care law was beginning to change rapidly. The degree provided the grounding he would build on through a mix of law firm work and professional association involvement.
He worked at Modrall Sperling P.A. in 2008. A few years later he joined Montgomery & Andrews P.A., a firm that had previously operated as Bannerman & Johnson, P.A., where he was on the lawyer roster in 2011. Those positions placed him in practice environments that handled complex regulatory and transactional matters common to health care clients and institutions.
Gambill has been active in bar and specialty organizations. He has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association since 2011 and remains a member. He served as a district representative for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, covering New Mexico and Arizona from 2012 to 2014. He also took part in the American Bar Association Health Law Section’s Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference from 2013 to 2014, and later sat on the Health Law Section Council from 2014 to 2016. For a period he was involved with the New Mexico Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners as a board member from 2013 to 2014.
Those roles gave him regular exposure to regulatory developments and licensure issues. They also meant engaging with hospital counsel, medical boards, and state regulators on policy and compliance questions. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic; he tends to break complex regulatory problems into manageable steps and explains options in plain terms.
His career path shows a steady thread: law firm practice combined with public-facing roles in professional groups. That mix is common among lawyers who handle health care transactions, licensure, and regulatory compliance. Gambill’s background places him at the intersection of private practice and the regulatory structures that govern medical professionals and institutions.
He currently practices at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP. His work centers on health care regulatory and transactional matters.
