About Greg D.

Greg D. Porter took a traditional path into the law. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. He then went on to Capital University Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2012. Those years shaped his entry into practice and local legal circles.

Soon after law school, Porter became active in county and state bar organizations. He has been a member of the Butler County Bar Association since 2012 and of the Ohio State Bar Association since 2010. That dual membership reflects ties to both local courtrooms and wider professional networks in Ohio.

Public service has been part of his portfolio. In 2016 he joined the Fairfield Board of Zoning Appeals, a role that exposed him to land-use and municipal decision-making. In 2020 he served as a Notary Class Instructor for the Butler County Bar Association Notary Committee, teaching practical skills for notary public duties to peers and community members.

Porter is admitted to practice in Ohio, to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Those credentials allow him to appear in state courts, in federal court within the Southern District, and in immigration courts. The mix of admissions shapes the kinds of matters he handles and the forums where he appears.

He practices at RODRIGUEZ & PORTER, Ltd., where he works on matters that reach both administrative tribunals and trial courts. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases and direct in courtroom settings. He balances client meetings, filings and appearances across municipal, state and federal matters.

Porter’s background combines local civic roles with courtroom practice. He has taught notary procedures, served on a zoning board and maintained ongoing involvement in county and state bar groups. He continues to represent clients in immigration proceedings and in state and federal forums where his admissions allow him to appear.
