About Grant Robert
Grant Robert Zehnder earned a B.S. from the University of California, San Diego and a J.D. from the University of the Pacific in 2010. His legal training began in California classrooms and continued in local institutions. Those early years set the stage for a practice rooted in Sacramento-area institutions.
After law school, Zehnder took on a mix of public and private roles. He served as a volunteer at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office, gaining courtroom exposure and hands-on experience. He also worked as a law clerk for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, where he handled research and assisted with legal matters on behalf of a public agency.
Zehnder moved into private practice as an associate lawyer. He was on the associate roster at Cook Brown, LLP before joining John M. O Brien & Associates as an associate in 2012. Those positions placed him inside both firm environments and trial-oriented settings, and they expanded his familiarity with litigation and client representation in the region.
He maintains professional memberships across the Sacramento legal community and statewide. Zehnder is a member of the California State Bar and participates in the Sacramento County Bar Association. He also holds membership in the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association and the Sacramento Metro Chamber. His volunteer role at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office remains current, allowing continued engagement with public defense work alongside other professional commitments.
Licensed to practice in California, Zehnder works from an Elk Grove office and handles matters in the local court system. He balances public service and private practice, drawing on years spent in courtrooms, municipal settings, and law firms. His current practice focuses on representation and litigation in California courts.
