About Graham
Graham Hill completed his legal education at Southern Methodist University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 1976 after undergraduate study at The University of Texas at Austin, where he received his B.A. in 1971 and continued studies through 1973. He entered the legal profession at a time when courtroom practice demanded early and immediate immersion. Hill followed that pattern and never looked back.
He began his career as an associate at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in 1976. Three years later he formed a partnership that became Hill & Parker PC in 1979. Over the following decades he moved through several prominent firms, becoming a partner at Locke Lord LLP in 2003 and then at Heard Robins in 2012. In 2013 he opened the Law Offices of Graham Hill and continues to operate that practice as its owner.
Admitted to practice in Texas in 1976, Hill is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Supreme Court. His career has centered on trial work. He has spent decades trying cases in state and federal courts and has maintained active memberships in organizations focused on courtroom advocacy.
Hill holds fellowships and memberships in a number of professional groups that reflect his long tenure in the trial bar. He became a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation in 1980. The International Society of Barristers added him as a Fellow in 1989 and he later served as that organization’s president from 2011 to 2012. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2001, and a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers in 2011. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation since 2000 and as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003. He also served as president of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and chaired the Houston Bar Association’s Litigation Committee in the early 1990s.
Colleagues describe Hill as a lawyer whose work is built on courtroom practice and institutional involvement. He has combined private practice with service to his law school and bar organizations; he has served on the Executive Board of Southern Methodist University School of Law since 2003. Over the years his practice has retained a steady emphasis on trial litigation rather than transactional work.
He currently practices as the owner of the Law Offices of Graham Hill and handles personal injury trial work at his firm.
