About Grace
Grace Hyun graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2010 after completing a B.A. at Rutgers University—Newark in 2006. She built her academic foundation across two New Jersey and New York institutions, moving into practice soon after law school. Those early years shaped an interest in workplace law and the procedural parts of litigation.
Her professional credentials include admission to the bars of New York and New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice before several federal trial courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the Southern District of New York, and the District of New Jersey. Those admissions allow her to handle matters at both state and federal levels.
Hyun practices at Emre Polat Employment Lawyers, where she works on employment-related disputes and litigation. Her work involves representing employees in cases that arise from workplace conflicts and advising on rights under state and federal employment statutes. She draws on courtroom experience and motion practice to move cases forward, and she participates in settlement negotiations when appropriate.
Outside the courtroom she maintains professional ties through bar and association memberships. She is a current member of the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She also belongs to the National Employment Law Association and the New York City Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to developments in employment law and to peers handling similar matters.
Colleagues describe her as someone who prepares thoroughly for hearings and file-driven stages of litigation. She gives attention to pleadings, discovery tactics and factual development. She also spends time keeping current on statutory and regulatory changes that affect workplace claims.
In practice she handles matters that require representation at both trial and pretrial stages, and she appears in federal and state forums permitted by her admissions. She continues to work from the Emre Polat Employment Lawyers office and concentrates her practice on employment law and workplace dispute resolution.
