About Gordon Z.
Gordon Z. Langer earned dual undergraduate degrees from Florida State University in 2006, graduating with a B.S. in Real Estate and a B.S. in Finance. He went on to complete his legal training at Nova Southeastern University, receiving his J.D. in 2013. The mix of business and legal study set the stage for a practice that intersects courtroom work and everyday legal problems.
Early in his legal career Langer served as a law clerk to Judge Marina Garcia-Wood in 2012. The clerkship gave him first-hand exposure to courtroom procedure and judges’ expectations. In 2013 he joined Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, PA as an attorney. That role provided experience in firm practice and client representation at the start of his career.
In 2015 Langer founded Langer Law Office Ticket Defense. He also began serving as court-appointed counsel for Indigent Defense Services in North Carolina that same year. Those roles signaled a shift toward representing individuals charged with traffic and related offenses and handling appointed matters for clients who could not afford private counsel. His work as appointed counsel required managing cases through plea negotiations, hearings, and trial settings when necessary.
Langer holds active memberships in both the Florida State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar. He is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Henderson County Bar Association, North Carolina Advocates for Justice, and the Judicial District 29B Bar Association. These affiliations reflect participation in state and local bar activities and access to continuing legal education and professional networks.
Practically minded, Langer balances the administrative duties of running a small practice with courtroom appearances. Colleagues have described him as methodical in preparing traffic and citation cases and practical in advising clients about options. He has handled matters in both Florida and North Carolina courts and kept his practice focused on resolving interaction between motorists and the criminal or civil enforcement systems.
Today Langer continues to operate Langer Law Office Ticket Defense. He represents clients in traffic and citation matters and handles appointed defense work in North Carolina.
