About Glenn

Glenn Johnston studied international politics at Pennsylvania State University, earning a B.A. in 1988. He went on to receive his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Those early academic choices shaped a perspective that blends policy awareness with legal training.

After law school, Johnston built a career in New York. He is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction and has worked in private practice. Over the years he has handled matters that required both courtroom preparation and careful written advocacy. He has balanced client work and case strategy while practicing in a city where legal disputes move at a brisk pace.

Johnston’s education in international politics informs how he approaches complex problems. He tends to consider both the legal text and the broader context that surrounds a dispute. That approach can affect how cases are framed, how evidence is marshaled, and how negotiations proceed. Colleagues describe him as methodical and steady in preparing cases.

Career moves have kept him in firm settings where collaboration matters. At times he has worked alongside litigators and transactional lawyers, which has given him a rounded view of practice. He has experience preparing pleadings, managing discovery, and arguing motions. He also places emphasis on client communication, making sure people understand the steps their matters require and the realistic outcomes to expect.

Outside of casework, Johnston’s background suggests an interest in the intersection of law and public affairs. His undergraduate major and legal training position him to assess legal problems that touch on policy issues. He reads developments in the law closely and applies those developments to the needs of his clients.

Today Johnston is counsel at Manning & Kass Ellrod Ramirez Trester, LLP. He practices in New York, handling matters that call for careful litigation work and clear legal analysis. He currently practices at Manning & Kass Ellrod Ramirez Trester, LLP in New York.
