About Glenn Fishburne
Glenn Fishburne Givens pursued an unconventional stack of credentials before entering private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University in 1987 and followed that with a Juris Doctor from the same school in 1991. He returned to graduate study in taxation, taking an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University in 1995 and then a Master in Taxation (Accounting) from the University of South Carolina - Columbia in 1997.
Those degrees shaped the early contours of his professional identity. The combination of law and advanced tax study, paired with an accounting background, positioned him to address questions at the intersection of tax policy, corporate finance and compliance. He also holds professional credentials as both a lawyer admitted to the South Carolina Bar and a Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina.
Givens’ firm association dates to at least 2010 when he became a partner at Kolb, Murphy & Givens, Lawyers at Law, LLC. His role as partner followed years of practice that drew on his dual legal and accounting training.
