About Gina L

Gina L Kramer built a law career that moves between courtrooms and classrooms. She began her academic path at Harvard, earning a B.A., and later completed her J.D. at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Those credentials set the stage for early courtroom work and a brief return to teaching.

Her first significant legal posting was a clerkship in 2009 for Judge Robert Martin at the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. The clerkship put her inside the federal bankruptcy system and gave her direct exposure to case management, opinion drafting and the rhythms of bankruptcy practice. A year later she joined Reynolds & Kenline, taking on the daily work of a practicing attorney at a firm that handles insolvency and related disputes.

Also in 2010, Kramer accepted an appointment as an adjunct instructor in bankruptcy law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. That role had her explaining bankruptcy principles to law students, supervising classroom discussions and linking academic doctrine to the procedures she had seen while clerking. Balancing teaching and practice broadened her perspective on how bankruptcy law functions for debtors, creditors and courts.

Kramer is admitted to practice in both Iowa and Wisconsin. Those dual admissions allow her to handle matters across state lines in a region where business and bankruptcy issues often cross jurisdictions. Her work has involved client counseling, motion practice, and contested proceedings in bankruptcy court.

Colleagues describe her as steady in court and readable on paper. She tends to prefer clear, direct filings over ornate argument. That practical approach informs her case preparation and client conversations. It also shapes her classroom style: she emphasizes procedure and practical outcomes rather than abstract theory.

At Reynolds & Kenline Kramer continues to represent clients in bankruptcy-related matters. She maintains a practice that includes advising businesses and individuals on insolvency options, preparing filings, and litigating disputes that arise in the context of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. Her current practice concentrates on bankruptcy law and related commercial litigation.
