About Gergana Ivanova

Gergana Ivanova Genova is a graduate of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Her legal training at Pace placed her in one of the law schools known for practical skills programming and clinic work, where students confront real client problems while still in school. That experience provided an early foundation in legal research, drafting and oral advocacy.

After law school she gained authorization to practice in New York. Her work is rooted in the statutes and procedural rules that govern state practice. Over time she has built a practice that engages with the kinds of matters that come before New York courts and administrative agencies, combining attention to procedural detail with an emphasis on clear written work.

Genova’s approach to cases leans on methodical preparation. She attends to the record and to deadlines, and she prioritizes straightforward explanations for clients. In litigation settings she prepares pleadings and motions and participates in hearings. When matters are handled outside the courtroom, she focuses on close analysis of statutory and regulatory text and on transactional documents that must stand up to scrutiny.

Colleagues describe her as someone who values the mechanics of lawyering: organizing evidence, tracking procedural posture and mapping out practical next steps for clients. She is comfortable working with judges’ chambers, opposing counsel and administrative staff. Her day-to-day practice requires balancing competing timelines and adapting strategy when new facts emerge.

Genova has maintained her practice in New York and continues to engage in matters that arise under state law. She keeps current on developments in local rules and statewide case law and integrates those updates into client advice. Outside of formal filings, she spends time drafting clear client communications so nonlawyers understand options and risks.

In the years since her education at Pace, she has established herself as a New York practitioner who handles procedural and substantive work arising under state law. As of 2026 she practices in New York, advising clients on matters governed by New York law.
