About Gerard N.
Gerard N. Mangieri earned his J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2006. He went from law school into work that put him inside courtrooms and community organizations. Early in his career he combined client advocacy with on-the-ground legal services.
He joined the YWCA of Harrisburg Domestic Violence Legal Center in 2009. The following year he took roles at Women In Need, Inc. and the Franklin County District Lawyer s Office. Those positions exposed him to both civil legal assistance for survivors and the operations of a county legal office. The work demanded case handling under pressure and frequent appearances in local courts.
Mangieri moved into private practice in 2016. He established a Harrisburg law office in 2018 and continued representing individual clients in criminal and related matters. In 2022 he formed Mangieri Law, LLC. The move to a firm bearing his name formalized a practice that had been shaped by years in nonprofit and county legal settings.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Professional memberships include the Pennsylvania Bar Association, which he joined in 2010, the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2018, and Alliance Defending Freedom beginning in 2018. Those affiliations reflect a mix of courtroom practice and participation in wider legal networks.
The blend of public- and private-sector experience informs how he approaches cases. He has handled matters arising from domestic violence programs as well as criminal matters at the county level. Colleagues and clients have encountered him in arraignments, motion hearings and bench trials. He has also spent time advising vulnerable clients through nonprofit legal centers, an experience that shaped his early client work.
Today Mangieri practices from Mangieri Law, LLC. His practice continues to involve criminal defense and matters that intersect with domestic violence and survivor assistance. He accepts cases through his firm where he represents individuals in state and federal courts and in related civil proceedings.
