About George Ruben

George Ruben Bravo earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2015, where he studied business law. He came to law school after several years in public service and policy circles. The classroom and clinic work he did at Santa Clara shaped an interest in the intersection of business and public policy.

Early in his career he worked on the legislative side. He served as a legislative intern for Assemblymember Fiona Ma in 2009 and later worked as a senior policy and communications intern in the Office of Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom in 2011. In 2012 he handled constituent affairs for San Jose Councilmember Steve Cohn. Those roles gave him firsthand experience in government processes and constituent work.

While at Santa Clara, Bravo engaged in both practical and scholarly legal work. He was active in the Law and Business Society from 2013 through 2015 and served as a senior associate on the Journal of International Law during 2014015. He also completed a clinical internship at the Entrepreneur 1s Law Clinic in 2015 and a summer legal internship at Boase Cohen & Collins in 2014, gaining hands-on exposure to client counseling and transactional matters.

After law school he took a policy research fellowship at the Panetta Institute for Public Policy in 2015. The following year he worked as a corporate project assistant for the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a role that involved coordination on administrative and corporate-related projects. In 2017 he opened his own practice, the Law Office of George R. Bravo.

Bravo is licensed to practice in California and has pursued professional development in collaborative public processes, earning a certification in Collaborative Governance from Sacramento State 1s Center for Collaborative Policy. His background blends public sector experience, journal work, clinical practice, and corporate project work.

At the Law Office of George R. Bravo he manages the firm he founded in 2017. His practice draws on his business law training and prior policy experience to address business and transactional matters for clients in California. He maintains his office operations while advising clients on business-related legal issues.
