About George

George Gedulin began his professional path at the University of California, San Diego, where he earned a B.A. in 2003. He continued to law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2007. Those years in San Diego set the stage for a career centered on courtroom practice and client work.

Early in his career Gedulin gained hands-on criminal defense experience as an intern at the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office. He also volunteered as a pro bono lawyer for the Family Justice Center San Diego, representing clients in sensitive family and domestic matters. His résumé includes time at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP and at Bankers Hill Law Office, positions that added depth to his practice background before he entered private partnership.

In 2011 he joined Gedulin & Greany as a partner. Four years later he established his own practice, founding the Law Office of George Gedulin in 2015. The move to open a solo firm reflected a preference for hands-on client representation and running a practice that can respond directly to case needs.

Gedulin maintains memberships across several professional organizations in the San Diego legal community and beyond. He belongs to the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is active in the San Diego County Bar Association, including its Criminal Law and Family Law sections, and participates in the American Inns of Court through the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court. He is also a member of the State Bar of California, and has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California since 2012.

Those affiliations reflect the mix of matters he handles. His practice draws on criminal defense work and family law matters, and he represents clients in state courts and in matters that may require federal court appearances. He has taken both public defender–side and private practitioner roles over the years, which informs how he prepares cases and advises clients.

Today Gedulin runs the Law Office of George Gedulin. He continues to take criminal defense and family law cases and represents clients in matters at both the county and federal levels, handling trials, plea negotiations, and related pretrial work.
