About George Dino

George Dino Pappas is an attorney based in Hendersonville, North Carolina, with a focus on immigration law. Since 2003, he has represented clients throughout Western North Carolina and across the nation. In a significant career milestone, Pappas was appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in 2023 to serve as an Immigration Judge. During his tenure, he presided over cases in the Boston and Chelmsford Immigration Courts in Massachusetts. His judicial role came to an end with his dismissal by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. He authored "The Literary and Legal Genealogy of Native American Dispossession – The Marshall Trilogy Cases 1823-1832," published by The Francis & Taylor Group. This work critically examines how the U.S. Supreme Court blurred the lines between literature and law, leading to the dispossession of Native Americans from their lands.
