About Geoffrey
Geoffrey Jones earned his J.D. from Ohio State University, Columbus, completing law school in 2012 after beginning his studies in 2009. He stayed local for much of his legal formation. The university years gave him a grounding in courtroom procedures and the practical side of practice, and they set the stage for a career spent largely in Ohio state courts.
After law school, Jones entered private practice. In 2014 he joined The Law Offices of Kevin Kurgis as an associate. The role exposed him to day-to-day litigation work and client counseling. He handled filings, attended hearings, and learned the rhythms of trial preparation. Those years in a small firm environment shaped how he approaches case management and client communication.
In 2019 Jones took the next step and opened The Jones Firm, LLC. He runs the firm as owner. The practice grew out of his work at the earlier firm and reflects his preference for a hands-on approach to clients and cases. He oversees case strategy, mentors younger lawyers on his team, and manages the business side of a small law office.
Professionally, Jones remains active in local and state bar circles. He maintains memberships in the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association. He is also a member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice, an organization that brings together trial attorneys in the region. That engagement keeps him connected to peers who handle litigation and trial work.
Outside strictly legal organizations, Jones participates in community groups. He belongs to the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership and the Tri-Village Rotary. Those memberships reflect an interest in the civic life of the communities where he practices and in building local relationships that can support his clients.
Jones is licensed to practice in Ohio and bases his work in the Columbus area. He has built a practice that emphasizes direct client contact and practical case solutions. He runs The Jones Firm, LLC and handles a range of matters for clients in Ohio state courts.
