About Ge

Ge Qu combined study at two U.S. law schools to shape an early career that crosses state lines. She earned an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law in 2017 after attending Fordham University School of Law. Those years of study exposed her to a range of doctrinal and practical subjects. They also set the stage for a practice rooted in the New York–New Jersey legal marketplace.

After completing her formal legal education, Qu moved into private practice in the region. She has worked on matters that require an understanding of both state and federal rules. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing filings and clear in explaining the law to clients. She tends to approach problems by breaking them into discrete legal questions and then mapping the procedural steps that follow.

The dual training at Fordham and Duke shows in how Qu handles complex statutory and regulatory issues. She pays attention to statutory language and to precedent. When litigation is involved she focuses on the mechanics of pleadings and motion practice. When a transactional or compliance element is present she attends to documentation and risk allocation. Her background has encouraged a practical style: identify the core legal obstacle, then pursue the most efficient route through it.

Qu is admitted to practice in New York and in New Jersey. She maintains an active presence in both jurisdictions and is familiar with differences in local rules and court procedures. That familiarity helps when matters cross state lines or when a client’s needs require coordination across agencies. Her peers note that she moves comfortably between written advocacy and client-facing explanation, which often proves useful in negotiations and strategy meetings.

She is currently with Hang & Associates, PLLC, where she represents individuals and businesses on matters arising in New York and New Jersey. Her work at the firm involves counseling clients and advancing their positions in state and regional forums. Her current practice serves clients in New York and New Jersey.
