About Gatsby G.

Gatsby G. Solheim practices law in the Midwest after a career that began in finance. He combines a business education and legal training to advise individuals and small businesses across two state bars.

Solheim earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He later attended Drake University Law School, where he completed a J.D. in 2017 and studied business law. His academic background ties formal corporate study to practical financial training.

Before law school, Solheim worked in the media industry in a senior financial role. In 2010 he served as Executive Vice‑President of Finance at Rural Media Group, Inc., a position that involved budgeting, financial oversight, and strategic planning for a regional media company. That experience shaped his understanding of corporate operations and the financial mechanics behind running an organization.

After earning his law degree, Solheim gained admission to practice in both Iowa and Nebraska. He draws on both his business law coursework and earlier finance experience when advising on corporate matters. His practice addresses transactional issues, contract drafting and review, business formation and counsel for small enterprises. He also handles matters that require an understanding of corporate finance and regulatory compliance.

Solheim has been involved in his local community. He joined the Rotary Club of Crete in 2017 and has participated in its activities since then. The civic engagement reflects a continuing interest in local affairs and client relationships rooted in community ties.

He maintains an office under the name Solheim Law Office, where he provides legal services to clients in his admitted jurisdictions. His current practice centers on business and corporate legal matters, contract work, and finance-related legal advice.
