About Gary Orin

Gary Orin Haase is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Haase is the principal attorney at GOH Foreign Law Office, a firm located in Osaka, Japan. He has been practicing law for over 21 years, serving clients in both the United States and Japan.

Mr. Haase earned his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating in 2003. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. During his time at Santa Clara University, he developed a strong interest in international law, particularly focusing on immigration and business law.

Mr. Haase concentrates his practice in the areas of U.S. immigration and nationality law, business transactions, and contracts. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving consular processing, family immigration, naturalization, student and exchange visitor visas, and waivers. His practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including initial case evaluation, document preparation, negotiations, and representation before U.S. consulates and immigration authorities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Haase has handled cases in various jurisdictions, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the Osaka Bar Association in Japan, where he is registered as a foreign attorney (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi). He has also appeared before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a California law firm and served as in-house counsel for a multinational corporation.

Mr. Haase is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Osaka Bar Association. He has also been involved in community service, including serving as an adjunct lecturer on Japanese culture, history, and law. He is fluent in English and has proficiency in Japanese, having passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Level N3 in July 2013, enabling him to effectively serve the diverse communities in both the United States and Japan.
