About Gary J.
Gary J. Arsenault combines a background in accounting with three decades of legal practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University before receiving his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 1994. That blend of financial training and legal education has informed his work from the start.
After graduating in 1994, Arsenault moved quickly into firm partnership. He joined Neblett, Beard and Arsenault as a partner the same year and spent the early part of his career building courtroom and case management experience. The role placed him in a firm setting where litigation strategy and client advocacy were daily concerns.
In 2013 he took on a senior lawyer role at Godsey-Martin, P.C. The position broadened his exposure to complex files and trial preparation. Three years later he opened his own practice. Since 2016 he has operated the Arsenault Law Office, taking responsibility for both the legal work and the business side of a small firm.
Arsenault is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. He has maintained membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1994 and joined the Texas Bar Association in 2013. He has also been active in trial-oriented professional groups, holding membership in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association since 2014.
His accounting degree continues to be an asset. That training helps when cases involve economic loss, damages calculations or close scrutiny of financial records. Over the years he has handled litigation tasks that require both numerical analysis and courtroom presentation.
Colleagues and local peers see him as a steady presence in the courtroom and in association circles. He has moved between partnership, senior associate work and solo practice. Each step changed his role but kept him rooted in litigation and client representation.
Today he works from the Arsenault Law Office. He combines his financial background and courtroom experience in civil litigation and trial work. He currently focuses his practice on pursuing and defending civil claims through trial and settlement processes.
