About Gary
Gary Hinck earned his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 1994. He completed his legal education in Topeka, returning to the state’s courts and communities as a lawyer at the start of his career. The Washburn law degree anchors a long-standing connection to Kansas law and the region’s legal institutions.
After law school, Hinck established a practice in Kansas and has maintained an active presence in the state’s legal community. He is admitted to practice in Kansas and has concentrated his work on matters arising in state courts and administrative forums. Over the years he has handled a broad range of matters for clients who come from both urban and rural parts of the state.
His career has included litigation and counseling for individuals and businesses. Cases and files have taken him to courthouses around the region and into the conference rooms where practical decisions are made. He approaches each matter by assessing the legal issues, the client’s objectives, and the real-world consequences of different options.
Colleagues describe him as steady and thorough in preparation. He places an emphasis on clear communication and timely work product. Those qualities matter whether a file resolves early or proceeds through trial phases. He also draws on local knowledge of Kansas procedure and practice to streamline case handling and manage client expectations.
Hinck splits his time between offices in Topeka and Wichita. Maintaining a presence in both cities allows him to meet clients where they are and to respond to scheduling needs across the state. The two-office arrangement reflects the geographic diversity of his work and his willingness to serve clients in multiple communities rather than concentrating in a single locale.
Outside the office, he has interacted with local court staff and fellow practitioners over the course of his career. He keeps current on developments in Kansas law and procedure that affect the cases he handles. He currently practices law in Kansas, maintaining offices in Topeka and Wichita.
