About Garry
Garry Davis is a Dallas-based immigration attorney and founder of Davis & Associates, a firm specializing in immigration law. He was born in 1973 in Houston, Texas, and graduated with honors from Humble High School in 1991. In 1997, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese from Brigham Young University. During his college years, he served a two-year church mission in Okinawa, Japan. He received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law in 2000 and was admitted to the Texas State Bar that same year. After law school, Mr. Davis began his legal career as an associate attorney at Tidwell Swaim & Associates, focusing on immigration law.
In 2003, he joined Miley & Brown, P.C. as Of Counsel, where he continued to develop his expertise in immigration matters. In 2007, he founded Davis & Associates, which has since expanded to include a Houston office. The firm has represented thousands of clients seeking immigration benefits in the United States. Mr. Davis is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction he has held since 2005. He has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Rising Star from 2004 to 2013 and as a Super Lawyer from 2013 to 2017.
He has also been listed in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Lawyers in America" from 2008 to 2016. His practice encompasses all areas of immigration law, including deportation defense, employment-based immigration, investment immigration, family-based immigration, appeals, and federal court litigation. He has successfully represented clients in removal proceedings, nonimmigrant visa petitions, family-based green card applications.
