About Garrick A

Garrick A Farria built a career that crosses law, labor relations and sports business. He moves between courtrooms, corporate offices and agency hallways with a practical, results-oriented style. The path is visible in the jobs he has taken and the organizations he has led.

He earned a B.A. in African and African-American Studies from Temple University in 1996 and an M.A. in the same field from Ohio State University in 1998. He later turned to law and received a J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2010. Those degrees anchor an unusual combination of academic interests and professional choices.

Early in his legal career Farria founded Farria Law Group, becoming its principal in 2011. The firm has allowed him to manage client work directly and to shape business operations. Running a small firm placed him at the intersection of legal strategy and practice management. He handled matters that required both courtroom preparation and practical client counseling.

In 2014 he moved into an in-house role as Assistant General Counsel for the National Association of Government Employees. That post gave him experience in labor and employment issues and in advising an organization on regulatory and compliance matters. It also offered a closer look at how public-sector unions and national advocacy groups approach risk and litigation.

Two years later he shifted again, this time into the sports and entertainment arena as CEO of Global Affiliates Sports and Entertainment Marketing. That role expanded his experience in business development, contract negotiation and the commercial side of entertainment. It also exposed him to the operational demands of running a company in a commercial marketplace.

Farria is licensed to practice in Texas and maintains offices that include a New Jersey location and his firm’s primary office listed under Farria Law Group. He holds memberships in professional associations and participates in the networks that connect private practice, in-house counsel and business leadership.

Colleagues describe him as practical and business-minded. His career shows a pattern of moving from client-facing legal work to roles that require organizational leadership. He continues to combine litigation readiness, transactional work and corporate advisory services in his practice. He currently focuses his practice on matters that span labor and employment, corporate contracts and commercial issues in sports and entertainment.
