About Garrett A.
Garrett A. Denniston came to law after studying human behavior. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2002. Three years later he completed his legal education at the University of Connecticut School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005.
His transition from undergraduate psychology to law shaped an early interest in how people and institutions interact under pressure. At law school he studied core subjects that prepare lawyers for litigation and client counseling. Those years also offered the practical legal training that lawyers rely on in court and at the negotiating table.
Denniston began his professional career soon after law school. He practices in Connecticut and serves as a lawyer at Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C. At the firm he works alongside other attorneys on matters that arise in state courts and in pretrial settings. Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical in courtroom preparation and client communications.
He maintains memberships in several bar and trial organizations. He is a current member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations provide continuing legal education and networking opportunities. They also keep him current on developments in state practice and trial procedure.
Denniston’s background in psychology informs how he approaches casework. He applies that background when preparing witnesses and assessing the human elements of disputes. In practice he combines that perspective with the more technical aspects of case development, evidence review and legal research.
Outside the office he participates in professional programming and bar activities. He attends seminars and workshops offered by the associations to refine courtroom techniques and stay updated on changes in Connecticut law. He has not been listed here for judicial office or academic appointments.
Garrett A. Denniston remains based in Connecticut. He continues to represent clients through Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, P.C., and practices law in Connecticut courts and related proceedings.
