About Gamaliel Benjamin
Gamaliel Benjamin Delgado studied law at Rutgers School of Law–Newark. He arrived at the profession grounded in the rigors of a law school known for trial and appellate training. The classroom there set the tone for a career that would cross state lines and extend to the highest court in the country.
After law school he entered practice in the northeastern United States. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2007 and is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, an admission that speaks to experience handling matters beyond trial-level courts. Those credentials have framed much of his professional work and provided opportunities to appear in a variety of forums.
Delgado is active in professional organizations. He has served as Regional Deputy President of the Hispanic National Bar Association since 2020. That role places him in a regional leadership post among a national network of Hispanic attorneys and law students. He also maintains membership in the New York State Bar, a connection he has kept since 2007. His involvement in these groups has included organizing events, mentoring younger lawyers, and contributing to discussions on diversity and professional development.
Much of his practice has involved litigation across state and federal courts in the New York–New Jersey area. He has handled cases that require courtroom presence and others that involve written advocacy in appellate settings. Colleagues describe him as deliberate in preparing for hearings and attentive to procedural detail. He balances courtroom work with bar leadership, a combination that keeps him engaged in both practical casework and the institutional side of the profession.
Today he is an attorney at Morgan & Morgan. His practice encompasses matters in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey and includes appellate work made possible by his admission to the U.S. Supreme Court. He remains active in the Hispanic National Bar Association and the New York State Bar while representing clients through the firm.
