About Frank Jeffrey Vendt
Frank Jeffrey Vendt Jr. earned his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, receiving a B.A. in 2001. He later attended Southern University Law Center and holds a J.D., listed as 2012. Those academic stops framed a career that moved quickly from clerking to private practice.
Early on he worked as a clerk at the Law Office of Kevin Patrick Mohahan in 2002. That experience gave him an on-the-ground look at client work and courtroom procedure. In 2008 he spent time in contract negotiation for Schlumberger, Ltd., an experience that introduced him to corporate and transactional settings outside a traditional law office.
He established a private practice under the name The Vendt Law Office, PLLC. The firm appears as his principal legal vehicle. His work has been carried out in Texas, where he holds licensure and practices law.
Vendt has been active in local bar circles for several years. He joined the Family Bar of Fort Bend Association in 2017 and has maintained that membership. He became a director of the Fort Bend County Bar Association in 2018 and took on the association’s presidency in 2020. Those roles put him in regular contact with judges, prosecutors and fellow private practitioners in the county.
He was a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association from 2013 until 2018. That period coincided with his early years in private practice and his involvement in local professional groups. The combination of corporate negotiation experience and local bar leadership has shaped how he runs his practice.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in handling client matters and engaged in county bar activities. He balances courtroom preparation and transactional work, relying on the practical lessons he learned while clerking and negotiating contracts earlier in his career. He also spends time on the administrative side of running a small firm, a routine familiar to many solo and small-firm practitioners.
He continues to lead The Vendt Law Office, PLLC in Texas and to participate in Fort Bend County legal organizations. He practices law in Texas and manages client matters through his firm.
