About Frank J.
Frank J. Steiner combines an unusual mix of academic credentials and corporate training experience before entering the bar. He earned a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2007. Earlier degrees include a Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1988, an M.S. from the University of Memphis in 1982 and a B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1980. Those advanced academic years precede his move into legal practice by nearly two decades.
His early professional life was in management and consulting. In 1988 he worked as a management consultant at Accenture. He moved into corporate training roles, serving as manager of training and development at Hughes Aircraft Company in 1990 and later holding the same title at Continental Airlines in 1995. Those positions placed him in large organizational settings where he oversaw training programs and personnel development.
After completing law school in 2007 he began practicing as the principal of his own firm, Frank Steiner Law, PC. He litigates in Tennessee and has federal admissions as well. He is admitted in Tennessee, in the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His transition from corporate management to private practice reflects a career that spans both business operations and courtroom procedure.
Steiner maintains memberships in a range of legal organizations. His affiliations include the American Association for Justice, the Nashville Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Employment Lawyers Association. Those memberships indicate ongoing engagement with professional networks and with developments in trial practice and employment law.
Colleagues and clients describe a practitioner who draws on several decades of professional experience. He brings academic research training from a doctoral program and practical management experience from the private sector to his litigation work. That background informs how he prepares cases and develops witness training and trial presentation.
He practices from Frank Steiner Law, PC, where he handles matters in state and federal courts. He currently focuses his practice on litigation in Tennessee state courts and in the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, including employment-related claims.
