About Forrest E.

Forrest E. Guedry earned a B.A. from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2012 and completed his J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans in 2015. He entered law school after four years of undergraduate study and left Loyola with classroom work and extracurricular ties that continued into his early career.

His first legal reads came in a federal chambers. In 2015 he served as a law clerk for a federal magistrate at Percy, Lanoux, & Mumphrey. That year also marked his transition into private practice, when he joined Allen & Gooch, A Law Corporation. Those early roles gave him exposure to courtroom procedure and the mechanics of litigation at both the trial and federal levels.

In 2018 he became an associate at Kean Miller LLP. In that position he worked on matters requiring litigation work in state and federal forums. His time at Kean Miller has involved drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and preparing motions for hearings in district courts. Colleagues describe him as methodical in the courtroom calendar and attentive to procedural detail.

Guedry is licensed to practice in Louisiana and is admitted to appear before several federal tribunals, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He maintains memberships in the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Federal Bar Association. He also serves on the Loyola Maritime Law Journal Alumni Board, maintaining a connection to the academic community that shaped parts of his legal training.

His professional record shows a steady progression from clerkship to associate work at a regional firm. That path exposed him to the scheduling pressures and case management demands that come with federal work. It also placed him in firms where coordinating with senior trial lawyers and local counsel is a daily task.

Outside of court filings and docket entries, Guedry’s profile reflects ongoing engagement with local bar organizations and legal scholarship networks tied to Loyola. He continues to build practical experience in litigation and federal practice areas. He currently practices at Kean Miller LLP, handling matters in both state and federal courts.
