Filemon Kevin Samson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2002 and holds bar number 219964. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Samson is the owner and managing attorney of Samson Law Office, a firm located in Anaheim, California. He has been practicing law for over 23 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Mr. Samson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he graduated in 2000. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Urban Development in 1994. During his time at USC Gould, he was a member of the Law Review and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.
Mr. Samson concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, business law, and real estate law. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy filings, business formation and dissolution, contract disputes, and real estate transactions. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Samson has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years. Additionally, he has served as an interim lead attorney at the Public Law Center in 2015, overseeing the Consumer Law and Bankruptcy Unit and the Operation Veterans Reentry Unit.
Mr. Samson is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Samson is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
