About Eve
Eve Maestre built her legal foundation in classrooms on opposite coasts. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University in 2013 and completed her Juris Doctor at the University of San Diego School of Law in 2017. Those years shaped her grasp of both theory and practical lawyering. She left law school ready to step into courtrooms and client meetings.
She gained admission to the State Bar of California in 2018 and was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of California the same year. Her first position after bar admission was at the Law Offices of Michael A. Scafiddi, Inc., where she worked as a lawyer in 2018. She moved on to serve as an associate at the Law Offices of Anna R. Yum in 2021. In 2022 she opened her own firm, serving as owner and lead counsel at the Law Office Of Eve Maestre, APC.
Those early years in practice brought exposure to courtroom procedures, client counseling and the everyday management of cases. Maestre’s professional memberships reflect a steady engagement with the bar and the local legal community. She has been active in the State Bar of California, the San Diego Bar Association and the San Bernardino Bar Association since 2018. She also holds membership in the California DUI Lawyers Association, which aligns with matters she handles in practice.
Her work covers criminal defense matters that arise in state and federal settings. Admission to the Southern District federal court allows her to represent clients in federal proceedings originating in that district. In state court she handles hearings, motions and plea negotiations, and she represents clients at DMV administrative proceedings when those matters intersect with criminal charges.
Running a solo practice has required Maestre to combine casework with the practical tasks of firm management. She oversees client intake, evidence review and case strategy. She prepares filings and briefs, appears at arraignments and contested hearings, and manages communications with prosecutors and court personnel. Her memberships in regional bar groups provide continuing legal education and local networking that support that work.
Colleagues and clients describe her as practical and direct in handling legal questions. She maintains an office presence in California where she handles matters for individuals facing criminal charges, including DUI-related cases, and represents clients in federal matters before the Southern District of California. Her current practice focuses on criminal defense and DUI representation at the Law Office Of Eve Maestre, APC.
