About Evan W
Evan W Walker grew up and trained in courtrooms and corporate claims departments. He took a traditional path into law: law school, an associate’s post, a stint handling insurance liability, then his own practice. The result is a lawyer who knows how both sides of a dispute operate.
He attended Loyola University New Orleans and earned his Juris Doctor in 2008. The legal education there set the groundwork for litigation and appellate work. The classroom years gave him the procedural and analytical tools he would soon put to use in practice.
After graduating, he joined Pelleteri & Wiedorn, LLC as an associate in 2008. That role was his first exposure to the rhythms of private practice—client intake, discovery, motion practice and courtroom appearances. In 2010 he moved to Travelers as a Liability Legal Specialist. At Travelers he handled claims and coordinated with adjusters and outside counsel. That period sharpened his understanding of how insurers evaluate and resolve claims.
In 2015 he opened The Law Office of Evan W. Walker. The move to solo practice followed years of observing how cases develop from incident to settlement or trial. Setting up his own office allowed him to control case strategy and client communication. It also coincided with a deeper involvement in local and state legal organizations.
His bar admissions span several jurisdictions: Connecticut, Louisiana and California. Since launching his practice he has been active in local legal circles. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and of the Hon. J. Clifford Wallace Inn of Court. He also holds memberships in Consumer Lawyers of California and Consumer Lawyers of San Diego. Those associations reflect his engagement with peers on litigation topics, trial practice and developments in consumer protection law.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in the courtroom. He often frames disputes around evidentiary outlines and early motion strategy. His background in insurance liability informs how he evaluates settlements and structures demands. The tone of his work is pragmatic: test the facts, identify leverage, then pursue the most efficient path to resolution.
Today he operates his practice from The Law Office of Evan W. Walker. He represents clients in civil litigation matters and regularly handles consumer law and insurance liability cases. He concentrates his practice on civil litigation, including consumer law and insurance liability matters.
