About Evan (Mac)
Evan (Mac) Meade took a direct path into law school after completing his undergraduate degree at East Tennessee State University in 2003. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2005. Those years laid the groundwork for a practice shaped by trial work and bar association involvement.
Meade began his association with Meade Law Group in 2008 as a lawyer. He rose to the role of principal in 2017 and has overseen the firm’s matters since then. The transition marked a shift from practitioner to firm leader. He continued to handle courtroom work even as he took on administrative responsibilities.
Professional organizations have been a consistent part of his career. Meade joined national and state bar groups in 2004, including the American Association for Justice, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Washington County Bar Association. He served on the Tennessee Association for Justice’s board of directors from 2009 to 2014 and chaired that organization’s Young Lawyers Committee for the same period. More recently he holds membership in the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a connection that began in 2014 and remains current.
Those affiliations reflect an attorney who values peer engagement. He has been active in committees and governance. The dates and roles show both early involvement and later leadership. Colleagues and younger lawyers have looked to him for guidance during his years chairing the Young Lawyers Committee.
Meade’s work at the firm mixes case preparation, courtroom advocacy and oversight of firm operations. He manages trials and client relationships while shaping the firm’s approach to litigation. He balances the day-to-day needs of clients with mentoring newer attorneys in the office.
Outside the office he participates in continuing legal education and bar activities tied to trial practice and criminal defense. He maintains memberships that keep him connected to developments in both civil and criminal litigation. He currently practices at Meade Law Group, handling trial work in civil and criminal matters.
