About Ese
Ese Omofoma built a legal foundation at Syracuse University College of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2010 after completing a B.A. in Political Science and Government at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2007. She entered legal study with courtroom experience already on her résumé, having served as a judicial intern at the Cook County Circuit Court in 2008. Those early placements framed a practical approach to law that shows through her subsequent work.
Her first formal clinic experience came at Syracuse’s Criminal Defense Law Clinic in 2010, where she worked as a student lawyer and handled client matters under supervision. After law school she took on roles that broadened her exposure to both plaintiff-side work and administrative claims. In 2011 she worked for Disability Group, Inc., and interned at The Liu Law Office, gaining experience with benefit claims and civil advocacy. The following years included a turn in the private sector; in 2012 she served as Head of Sales at Lettuce, a position outside traditional legal practice that expanded her management and client-relations skills.
Omofoma moved back into legal practice in Los Angeles-area firms, joining Gardner + Associates in 2014. That same year she launched her own practice, operating under Omofoma Law and later listed as The Omofoma Law Office. She has combined solo practice with active participation in local bar groups. Her roles include membership on boards and sections such as the Beverly Hills Bar Association Barristers Section Board of Governors and the Board of Governors for the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. She is also associated with organizations including the Private Defenders of California, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities, the Westside Bar Association, the Santa Monica Bar Association, the Downtown Los Angeles Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and California Lawyers for Criminal Justice.
Her background spans criminal defense clinic work, disability and benefits matters, and consumer litigation, reflecting the variety of organizations she belongs to. She describes practice through the lens of courtroom work and client advocacy rather than a single specialty. Today she operates Omofoma Law in California, where she handles matters arising from criminal defense, consumer litigation, and related civil claims. She now manages the firm and focuses her practice on criminal defense, consumer law, and disability-related claims.
