About Erin R.

Erin R. Solaiman began her academic path in Michigan. She earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2005 and went on to receive her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2009. Those credentials framed an early interest in the law and steered her toward practice in her home state.

Her career has remained squarely within Michigan’s legal community. She is licensed to practice in Michigan and has built a practice around issues that often overlap family, finance and long-term care planning. Over the years she has moved from courtroom work toward transactional and advisory roles, helping clients translate legal documents into practical plans.

Solaiman’s professional activity extends beyond her casework. She is a member of the Macomb County Probate Bar Association and the Macomb County Bar Association. She also belongs to the State Bar of Michigan and participates in the Macomb region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Those memberships connect her to local colleagues and to developments in probate, guardianship and elder law.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and steady in client meetings. She spends time explaining the mechanics of estate plans, powers of attorney and guardianship petitions. She tends to break complex subjects down into steps, preferring clarity over legalese. That approach guides her work on wills, trusts, probate administration and the planning measures that people put in place to manage care and finances as they age.

Her office practice includes counseling on Medicaid eligibility and long-term care planning. She advises families on how to preserve assets while addressing care needs. She prepares estate documents and assists executors and personal representatives through the probate process. Work often involves coordinating with financial advisors, care managers and health care providers to align legal arrangements with a client’s practical needs.

In court settings, she has handled guardianship and conservatorship matters, representing petitioners and sometimes serving as counsel to fiduciaries. She pays attention to procedural detail and to the evidentiary requirements that local courts expect in sensitive matters involving incapacity.

Today she practices at SSR LAW: Elder Law & Estate Planning in Michigan. Her work centers on elder law, estate planning, probate administration and related matters for individuals and families.
